Student Flats Cardiff
Irma Said:
Costs of Renting a Flat?We Answered:
One thing I was thinking was contents insurance. I don't know if rental contracts can stipulate if a tenant must have it, you would have to read your contract, but it can be up to you - I haven't always had contents, I've just taken my chances as it was an expense I could live without! (I have it now, thankfully, as I needed it last year!).Anyway, just a point to ponder.

Student districts in Cardiff?We Answered:
If your studying in Cardiff university there are some student districts. The best places would be Cathays and Roath, these are the main student areas and are very close to the university. Gabalfa and Bichgrove areas would also be ok but I recomend Cathays and Roath.Billie Said:
How much money on average needs to be paid in advance when renting a flat?We Answered:
Well you nearly always have to pay the first months rent up front, then you will have to pay your bond money (usually about £100 more than the rent) then you will have to pay administration/credit checking fees - they can range from about £90 to £300 and some estate agents will try to make you pay a deposit on the property.I'd say save about £1500 then you know you will have enough, and if it doesn't cost that muh then you've always got a bit extra to buy things for your new home :) Good Luck, Hope I helped.
p.s try to rent through a company that isn't a large company, like a local one they are usually loads cheaper
