You will certainly have enough time to do everything.
The great thing about the London Underground means that you can be on one side the the city, and 30 minutes later you can be on the otherside. And most attractions are within walking distance of at least one tube station.

Changing of the guard happens at 11am, so make sure you get there early as it does quite often get pretty crowded. You can then walk through St James Park which is just on the otherside of the Victoria fountain outside Buckingham Palace. This will take you all the way down to Trafalgar Square where you can view Nelsons Column and the National Gallery. Its then a short walk down Whitehall, and you can take in Downing Street to your right, and then Parliament Square and Big Ben to your left. This would also be an excellent time to cross the Thames via Westminster Bridge, onto the South Bank and then go on the London Eye. The South Bank isnt that great in my opinion.

Another days trip could be taking the Circle or District lines on the tube, to Tower Hill. Here you can take in the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. You can go inside the Tower of London for a small entrance fee, and thats all a pretty good day out.

Another day would be to spend half of it looking round Madame Tussauds. This will take roughly 3 hours, and costs about £27. You could then spend the rest of the day looking round one of the meseums in South Kensington. Natural History Mesuem is pretty interesting and hands on, and its free to get in.

Lots of Hostels across the capital. All are usually above average and if you book in advance you can get them from £5 a night. Dont go for hotels as these are expensive. Hostels are cheap - You get what you pay for. As for food, I would buy food at supermarket when you get there, as eating out can get very expensive. Especially in London.
