I agree with BernadetteI ALWAYS maximized my loan amounts and spent them on whatever I wanted. I used it to pay for investments since the student loans are so cheap. Ultimately you can justify anything as an "educational" expense. Booze, bubbly, knick knacks and funny shrooms are essential to the whole college experience, I guess.
