I go to a junior college in Irvine. UCI is commonly referred to as "University of Chinese Immigrants" because it's 90% Asian. Many people who live in Rancho go to UCI because it's only like 15 minutes by driving on the freeway. Orange County doesn't have great clubs. Go to Los Angeles for clubs. The bad thing is it's at least a 2 hour drive with traffic but w/o it's only a 1 hour drive. Sadly there is always traffic to LA on a weekend because people go there to go clubbing and stuff. As for the money... Orange County is NOT all material as people make it out to be. Not everyone who lives here is rich. The majority are actually average income. Rancho is a pretty nice area and a lot of people are well off but they don't look down on you. I'm probably going to give you the best answer because I've lived in OC all my 19 years of life and go to college in Irvine and know people from all over OC.

Yes there are several good community colleges in this area. First of all IVC or irvine valley college. I am in high school, but have taken some classes there and it is a really nice school.

others include Orange coast college, Santiago canyon college, and golden west college, which is a little bit further away.


none of them share rooms with the UCI campus, but all are very close by, and have very good transfer programs to UCI, as well as most any other school in the state.

Go to the FBI website - they have a link to the their job site on it - and find out who they are hiring. Doctor or lawyer are certainly possible. Lawyers have 7 years of college, doctors have 8 and at least another 3 of training before they can get a job on their own. Either way, major in anything you want in college and take the premed or prelaw classes (or both, and make up your mind after college).

i go to cal poly pomona unless you are an asian international student. it is mostly a commuter school and there is not much to campus life. i know ucsb and ucla are really big on staying on campus as well as cal poly slo. you would have to tour the school for yourself to really know what is right for you.

UCI = You are almost guarenteed in.
UCSD = Although your GPA could be stronger, I think your extracurriculars will get you in.
UCLA = There are so many applicants, they tend to just look at numbers, they're most likely to take a look at your GPA and reject you immediately (last year's averages for accepted students are: 4.2 GPA, 2007 SAT [I know thats not possible, but its an average], 19 Honors and/or AP classes.) Basically, its a bugger to get in.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter what theme arroya vista apartments you go to, since so many types of people go in and out to visit. Parking in that area is crazy. There are plenty of parking in other parts of the campus and you can just walk it. (UCI is really safe). I suggest getting the 2 meal day plan.
