What is a good summer job if my future career goal is to be an elementary teacher?

Try working a kids' summer camp! They are a ton of fun, and you get a little experience! Also, if you have it in your area, a school day camp trip; most camps that have trips for students during the year allow people to volunteer as counselers.

Tiffany Said:

What are the odd for me receiving a summer job at a summer camp?

We Answered:

Most camp counselors haven't gone to camp before. Even if they have, they probably haven't gone to the camp they are applying to. Your odds are probably pretty good if you are good with kids and you have a big heart. Do you babysit? Being a camp counselor is like babysitting but you have 20 kids instead of 2 but you have a lot of help for other counselors and staff. Good luck.

When should I start looking for a summer job?

We Answered:

Retail and grocery stores get 100 applications per week. Yo need to go where the teenagers do not go. Golf courses, office buildings, and industrial areas. YOu might drive a forklift or load trucks but you will work. Apply in April..
