Edmonton Student Jobs

Mario Said:

Where to look for certain work in Edmonton?

We Answered:

As a student, you have to take what you can get. In this economy, you can't be too picky about work you do.

What are you studying in college? If you can't find a paying job in the arts, try and find one in your future line of work.

Stephen Said:

Ernest Said:

i want to find a job in the school,please tell me how to write resume?

We Answered:

It is hard to be sure what you are asking. Do you want to seek a teaching job in an elementary school, high school, or college? Or are you looking for something different? Please go to your public library and tell the reference librarian what you want to do. The librarian can show you books on how to write a resume.

Howard Said:

are geologists hired by government?

We Answered:

Many geologists are hired by the government. Frequently a temporary job lasts longer than a so called permanent job./

Lloyd Said:

Are geologists hired by government?

We Answered:

Hello!

I think geologists are hired by the government, they help predict earthquakes and protect the civilians and help learn about the Earth.

I suggest you go for Hydrogeology, it's more interesting.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Mr.Math

Jack Said:

can I get a credit card if I don't have a job.?

We Answered:

how do you intend to pay it back if you don't have any income?

don't make the same mistake the world has made. stay away from credit cards until you can afford to pay them off as you spend. they can kill your soul.

a credit card will charge you interest on things purchased and it looks a little like this:

food =25.00
gas = 30.00
books = 15.00
i pod = 325.00
total = 395.00 @ 21% annual interest rate

the 21% is high but you don't have credit history?
they will offer you a 0% intro rate which turns into 26-30% with one late payment. plus a 35 to 55 late fee and another 35 to 55 over the limit fee! this turns your minimum payment of 10 dollars to about 110 if you're not careful.

you pay 10 a month ( because you don't have a job)
it will take you about 4 years to pay off plus 160 dollars in interest.
total 555.00 dollars for a 395.00 purchase.

just say no! learn about credit cards before you get one.

We Answered:

The Real Estate Council of BC website can answer your questions about how to qualify. It may not be all that hard to get into real estate but it can certainly be hard to stay in it.
