Montreal Jobs For Students

Thelma Said:

McGill or Montreal students which program would you choose?

We Answered:

though i am not frm mechanical field but i know this that if you apply for the mangement program, it would be doing little to boost your technical skills and would be more concerned with managing different mechanical processes.
so i would suggest you the second field, that has ever growing opportunities in the industry.

Kimberly Said:

What kind of jobs are there for some1 interested in anthropology ??

We Answered:

Do you plan on getting your PhD in this field? I would because then the possibilities are limitless - forsenic science, like CSI, expert witness testifying, research, teaching. If you plan to just do digs, you will need a sponser and grant money. If you do not have a PhD you cannot write your own salary or grants. I evny you I am in research but have not done my PhD. It is best to just keep going rather than stopping. Glamourous - well if you like mud and bones and dead things and discovered a dig before someone else does than I guess you could say it is glamourous.

Cecil Said:

moving to montreal with only basic french...?

We Answered:

The first 2 answers are not very good ones.

I am a lifelong Montrealer who is more English but still bilingual and I will give you the straight dope. Hospitality jobs like waitress or bartender are pretty easy to find for students. The industry explodes in summer and will need thousands of new people. being attractive will help you a lot in the bars and restos. That is just the reality.

Also if you are attending Mcgill or Concordia there are student job banks and also the government can help you find great seasonal employment for students.

Good Luck and welcome to Montreal

Marcus Said:

Are there any good part time telemarketing jobs in Montreal?

We Answered:

Annette Said:

Can my fiance find work in Montreal, Quebec without a permit?

We Answered:

Mystic T gave you good advice. Your husband or common-law spouse can apply for a work permit if you are in school full-time.

Quebec is a French speaking province so depending on his job skills, he may have a problem finding work unless is able to speak French.

Cash Jobs In Montreal?

We Answered:

If you don't have a S.I.N. number then you would be working illegally regardless of what the job is. The government likes to tax people who work so you'll need that SIN so they can tax you. Apply for a SIN.
