Retail Jobs For Students

Jeremy Said:

Where are the jobs for students?

We Answered:

I recommend this book that I bought for my nephew at Amazon. It is called What Color Is Your Parachute for Teens: Discovering Yourself, Defining Your Future.

I would also ask your parents for help. They were your age once you know, and know what kinds of jobs there are for teens in your particular community.

Marsha Said:

Moving to australia, will i find work? retail, waitressing, etc.?

We Answered:

You'll certainly be able to get some work if you're flexible about what you do and where you go, but it's really difficult to say just how steady it will be. At 20 and with experience, you'll probably do a bit better than $13.47/hour. There is pretty well always fruit picking work available somewhere if you really need money, though of course that's generally well away from the larger cities. Make sure you have as much money behind you as possible to tide you over periods of unemployment; stick to a budget and you should be fine.

Lydia Said:

I'm a 20 year old college student, can retail jobs deny me for my credit?

We Answered:

Are you asking if they can deny you employment for your credit?

If you kept minimum payments to your credit card on time, you don't have bad credit. $1500 isn't bad for anyone who kept a balance at all with their credit cards.

Yes, some larger companies does perform or subscribe to background check services. But even then, you have nothing to worry about.

They're trying to weed out people who may have knowingly max out their credit before they file for bankruptcy.

Apply to more places to cover your odds is a better way to ensure employment.

Emily Said:

Should I send a cover letter with my CV for part time retail jobs?

We Answered:

Yes, but I cheat way is to just make a basic cover letter,
and change a few bits here and there, like making the same letter but putting the correct shop name in every where you want to apply for each letter.
It makes them think you are more dedicated and that.
Good luck by the way.
