Im a student living in toronto,
There are a lot of student co-ops (which are basically discounted building like res only for students) I live in one and me and my roommate (only 1 roommate) pay about $450/month each. Utilities are included, cable + internet are extra (we split about $75 bill/month).
Part time jobs are what i am assuming you are looking for while being in shcool. THERE ARE TONS.. so many restaurants, tourist attractions, malls, and other shops. I would recommend looking mid august though (for a job) as if you wait til all the students come back then EVERYONE is looking for a job!

Try your local movie theatre, I know our movie theatre hires alot of younger kids. Which the kids love free movies, free popcorn, it can't get much better then that. You could also see your neighbors and see if they need someone to mow their lawn or rake their leaves. Just a couple idea's. Hope they help =)

It depends on how much effort you put. If you only get a 2.0 average, than yes, it will be hard. If you give it your best and put yourself out there, it won't be hard getting a job regardless of what college you go to.
