Your best bet is to find an explorer program or cadet program with a police department. Many pay, many do not. The good part about it is, they are basically your sponsor. Once you finish school you are almost guaranteed a job. They will put you through the academy, and you have way better odds than someone who just applied off the street, because you are their employee, and they know you. Whatever job you get, be a model employee. Do your job like there is an imaginary police hiring board behind you.
