Chances at WVU with 3.0 GPA?We Answered:
You should be a shoe-in at WVU with a 3.0. They have a reputation of sub-par academics and low standards. You might even get a full-ride scholarship. Seriously... no one should be going to college with a 2.5 even if they are in-state. You might want to aim a little higher if you want your degree to be worth something.Erin Said:
Career Advice - What would be the most lucrative job for me?We Answered:
You don't want to be an analyst...You want a company that'll train you to become one. If I'm a company evaluating 2 candidates that I'll have to train anyway, I'll pick the one with a more impressive resume.Heres what you can do:
1) attend school/program that'll give you the impressive resume
2) write your own reports, post them online, harass directors of research in big firms, follow up with your harassments to get a job.

Should I get a Masters in Accounting? We Answered:
dude, go to the cheap school. i worked at the big 4 and you are not gonna be ballin' enough to pay private school or out of state loans back. they really don't care where you went to school as long as you have good grades. in NYC, most of the new hires at Deloitte (in the tax group at least) were from Baruch, which is a public mediocre school in the city. you should totally do WVU.Eric Said:
Get BBA from Shepherd University or WVU?We Answered:
To be honest getting a job isn't always about your degree, let alone your university, sure it can help a lot, but getting a job is more about being in the right place at the right time. One of the things you could do is ask around for a job that would accept a Shepherd University graduate, and if you don't find any, ask if they would've accepted a WVU graduate. Another issue with job-finding nowadays is that, due to the recession, there aren't many to find, so don't get too disapointed if you don't find any.
On a sidenote, you could always start working while studying, rather than taking a break in between and doing this. That way the studies will be fresh in your mind, and you'll be earning some extra cash on the side.
Hope this helps :D

where should I get my BBA from please help!!!!!!!!!!!?We Answered:
Unfortunately, WVU is not going to be a much better background than Shepherd if you want to go on to a top 30 school, though it is enough better that a transfer would be worthwhile. The top 30s want applicants with bachelors degrees from a top 30. This does not mean that you cannot get into a top 30 grad school without an undergrad degree from one, but it would be much easier if you can transfer to a top 30 school to complete your bachelor's degree. With your grades and intelligence you have a chance of transferring to a top 30. The most important factor to consider in where to transfer (besides money) is the new university's general policy on accepting transfer students. The Ivy League will be very tough. You might look at Case-Western Reserve in Cleveland, U of Michigan, Ohio State in Columbus, and possibly Duke and U of Chicago. Good luck.

Would I make a decent amount of money with these jobs?We Answered:
You can get an idea of average salaries for Riding Instructors and Trainers at http://equistaff.com/salarysurvey_result… Keep in mind this is an overall average, not a starting salary average. Also, your tuition estimate looks high. You can find MM tuition rates at http://www.meredithmanor.edu/about/fees.… and WVU-P tuition rates at http://www.wvup.edu/Tuition/cc_2010_2011… The Associates Degree requires a RMIII at MM - $23,508 and 21 hours at WVU-P - $6,428 for a total tuition of around $30,000. You could also take some of the WVU-P requirements at your local community college and transfer them in to reduce tuition more.
Edit:
HorseLover: You mentioned the Associate’s Degree which requires one year at MM and 1 year at WVU-P. But yes, tuition + room and board + spending money for the Bachelor’s Degree which requires two years at MM and 2 years at WVU-P would be around $65,000 total.

His kid received death threats, that's over the line. But, you're right, he's no victim here.
