How would I apply to college after taking a year off after high school?

We Answered:

If you can, consider taking a few classes at a community college and working full time. It's easier if you don't get out of the study habit and you might find it harder to go to college after a year away. CC is much less expensive and you will still be working to the goal of that degree.

You request your transcripts from your high school just like you do now. They often have a form for you to fill out. There is no real difference with applying now and applying in a year. You fill out the paperwork.

Be sure to look into financial aid and scholarships. Work study is working on campus, around your schedule, to help you pay college costs. Filling out a FAFSA is the first step to getting financial aid.

How to apply college in Stanford University if you are in Philippines?

We Answered:

Go to the college's web site. Go to admissions then to international student for requirements and how to apply. You can email the school with any further questions. Stanford's' international student population is only 6%. It is a hard school to be accepted into, that combined with being an international student means a slim chance of getting in. You should apply to several US colleges.
