Remember, if you do this, and pay only the monthly minimum, you will end up paying more interest over the life of a loan (just like a credit card).

It depends on when you filled out your financial aid forms, and they were finalized.
Disbursement dates, and policies of when they actually disburse funds, change from school to schoo.
But frankly, had you filled them out on time it would seem as if you'd have the funds by now.

Realistically, had you filled out and qualified ON TIME - as in you did the application process during the standard Jan-March application period, and been approved - then you shouldn't worry.
BUT, if you were LATE - as in you only did those papers in recent months - then you shouldn't be looking for any disbursment in the near future.
