Financial Aid Student Loan
Sally Said:
How to apply for college in different state and get financial aid or student loan?We Answered:
The FAFSA is a federal grant that will follow you to whatever school you attend if you are eligible to receive a grant. There are several popular lenders for student loans that you can apply to online. I would suggest calling a financial counselor at one or more of the colleges you plan to attend and ask for specific guidelines about applying for financial aid to that college-A word of advice.....If you don't have a preference as to which college you attend be sure to compare tuition. It could save you LOTS of money in the long run. Good luck with your education!!!Francisco Said:

What should I do with my financial aid student loan refund check? We Answered:
It sounds as if you really need a car. That would be better and safer than a car or bus. Remember to save enough out to pay the insurance and gas.You probably will save money by being able to go to cheaper places and buying your groceries in bulk (which is hard to do in a cab or bus) so I think a car would be a good investment.
And just think, if you want an ice cream cone in the middle of the night,, you can just hop in your car and go. LOL ---I do that sometime.

Can I receive financial aid or a student loan from another college if Im on academic suspension at my current? We Answered:
The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires institutions of higher education to establish and apply standards of academic progress that must be met by all students in order to qualify and remain eligible for assistance from the Title IV student financial aid programs. At our school we look at Qualitative (a student maintain a cumulative minimum grade point average for a specific grade level) as well as Quantitative (must also satisfactorily complete a cumulative minimum of 75 percent of all credit hours for which you are registered). Then there is also Maximum Time Frame (The Higher Education Act requires that institutions establish a maximum time frame in which students receiving Title IV funds are expected to complete the program of study and beyond which they no longer qualify for assistance).
If a student fails to meet one more more of these, then we look at their situation as an Appeal. Sometimes the appeal is granted and they get one more semester to improve.
You will need to check with the school where you want to transfer to see how this applies to you, as each school may interpret Satisfactory Academic Progress differently.
Good luck!
