No there are no private loan companies that are going to give you a loan with no credit and no cosigner. If you have no credit history, bad credit, or no cosigner the lender has no guarantee that you will pay the money back. So why would they take a chance on you?

Your only option is federal stafford loans, but you will not get 15k in one lump sum.

I actually tried to get a loan without a cosigner as well. I didn't get it of course since I don't have enough credit. However, you do get direct loans from the government. It depends on what kind of school you will be attending. I think undergraduates get a maximum of $12,500 per academic year (that's what I get now). It's a little less for graduate school though. Since you don't qualify for FAFSA, direct loans is your only choice for now. That's what I did for the first semester..

BUT if you are going to grad school, you can get a GradPLUS loan. But since you said you didn't get any financial aid, I'm assuming you are an undergrad. You can go half time in school and work for now (also what I'm doing right now)... maybe take some classes somewhere else that's cheaper like a community college. You can do this now until maybe you get lucky and find someone else to cosign for you.

You do not need a cosigner to receive a federal student loan. However, it takes a while to get processed and you certainly won't get it done in a week. Consider starting school after a semester so you don't have to resort to the evil private student loans (which DO require a cosigner) or borrow that money from your family so when your federal aid loans in, you can reimburse them.
