The Army and Navy will pay back up to $65,000 in student loans and the Air Force will pay back up to $10,000. If you have a year left you can enlist and more than likely you'll be coming in as an E-3. From there, you can use tuition assistance to do your last year of college (you get $4,500 a year) by going to school on weekends and at nights. It'll probably take a little longer than a year depending on how many classes you have but you can get it done. By taking the loan repayment program you will lose the GI Bill.

Provided you qualify and the job you choose has that particular bonus, you can have your college loan paid off by the US Army. I'm not positive if the other branches have this bonus/option.

With a BA, you will come into the Army as a E-4. If you opt to become an officer, then you will be a 2LT, BUT you won't get the loan repayment bonus.

The better option for you would be to join the military first, college second. This is the way their educational assistance is set up.
I have never heard of a program where the military will forgive student loans you took out.

I joined after four years of college a bit short of actual graduation. Had almost sixty thousand in loans paid off along with receiving a bonus. It is one of the best deals the Army has.
