Non Certified Private Student Loans

Sue Said:

How do I get Private Student Loan money when it is sent to the school?

We Answered:

Make an appointment with a financial aid counselor at your school. That is the most direct way to get your answers, which some are specific to your school. Many times profs put extra copies of the text in reserve at the library...also think about sharing a text with a friend. I know it's difficult but many students are doing it since one book is now over $100. Good luck to you! (psychology professor)

Non-certified student loans?

Cosmo:

I've answered this question at least 2 or 3 dozen times over the past year, and I've updated my search for this type of loan several times, so that I could offer the most up-to-date advice. I just looked again, before responding to this question.

To the very best of my knowledge, Wells Fargo is the ONLY lender making non-certified educational loans at the present time. This type of loan has always been in short supply because of the lending risk involved, and they've now become nearly extinct.

Your life and your business are your own, but PLEASE do not be tempted to respond to ANY of the come-ons that will be offered to you in response to this question. A legitimate lender does not market its services on an internet bulletin board, and they certainly don't employ illiterate representatives to write these pitches for them. Every one of these "loan services" is a fraud, and any personal information that you provide to them will be used for identity theft purposes.

Lenders won't lend you money because you can not afford to borrow it. You do not have the income and the assets that will enable you to pay it back.

Good luck to you.

Are you past the point of differing what u currently owe? That would save u up to two years no intrest and you could get more assistance. I would hound the USFA some more.

Does anyone know of any websites where I can apply for a non-certified private student loan? Thanks!?

We Answered:

Don't. Nothing about that is a good, or even legitimate, idea.
