To be honest, I used to have a Sallie Mae loan, and though I made larger than required monthly payments, I don't remember exactly what I had to do - or whether it was anything unusual. Unfortunately, since I've long since paid off my loan, I can't get beyond the log-in page, and refresh my memory. I do remember that the "send a secure communication" feature brought faster and more accurate answers than phone calls to the generic customer service number.
