1. The lender will usually state on their webpage how much you can borrow it's usually up to the full amount of your tuiton.

2. Absolutely, usually under the terms of the lenders policy that money can be used for any SCHOOL expense(books, transportion, food, tuition, on or off campus housing, ....etc), but really once you get that money in your hands they dont really moniter what you do with if you can gamble it all if you really wanted to (I am not recommending that at all).

3. Depends on the lender some may some may not im not really sure if most do or dont but my guess is that it doesn't matter if your full or part time

You dont have to tell them what the money is for. I have taken out two private loans, and after approval they cut me a check and I got it in the mail within a week.

Student Aid Lending has been really really awsome to work with in the past.

Their customer service ROCKS and they were really cool about teaching me everything I needed to know about my loans.

ps. you can use these guys even if your loans are from Sallie Mae. It doesn't matter who your original lender(s) are.
