you have a temp res card you need to get your perm card this take a year .So if all goes right next fall you apply for all student loans I hope things go well for you . the wait will be worth it

It's been a couple of years since I did mine but as i remember it was all part of the same form that you filled in for the loan. Re download the form from the SLC website and make sure you didn't miss that bit.. there may have been a tick box. If not they will automatically assess your eligibility for grant based on the financial details you gave about you/your parents. If you get it, it will come lumped in with your loan payment, not separately.

You might be eligible for certain student grants depending on your personal circumstances but you will not be eligible for a student loan from the goverment unless you are in higher education i.e university.
