Student Loans Apply

Bobbie Said:

Are there any student loans to apply for that does not look at credit history?

We Answered:

federal student loans do not look at your credit history. However there are limits on the amount of federal loans you can get.

Derek Said:

When is the best time to apply for student loans?

We Answered:

High school seniors should apply for financial aid as soon after January first as possible by filling out the fafsa at http://fafsa.ed.gov

Most schools priority and state deadlines have passed.... but you can still get federal financial aid like student loans and the Pell grant if you qualify. When you apply, your school will give you a preferred list of lenders for Stafford loans, or you will go directly through the school (Direct loans) and not choose a bank.

If you are given the option to choose a bank, it doesn't matter who you pick because all of the terms (interest rates, fees, etc) are the same. Just pick one and use the same lender your entire college career so you don't have them all over the place.
