There are many organizations that provide grants to students. There are some that are targeted towards different groups (ie african americans latinos the gay community). The best thing for you to do is to contact the financial aid department of the school you are interested in and discuss with them who in your/their area provides these grants. Many schools will also provide grants but will require you to be a TA or to not work more than a certain number of hours at a job outside the university. Each school is so diverse that you really need to ask them individually.

Companies are going to be stingy about giving you money, especially the current economic situation.

If you have no credit and you lost your financial aid for academic reason, then you really have no credit-worthiness.

There are companies and organization that give loans based on grades if you have no credit.
