Howard Said:

What happens to the status of student loans if I transfer undergraduate schools?

We Answered:

Although most lenders find out if you transfer schools, it's best not to wait to hear from them, as they may have you in repayment status, and if you go too long without making a payment, you'll default which will ruin your chances of federal aid in the future.

Best thing to do is call each loan servicer, inform them that you changed educational institutions, and ask if they need you to provide anything to them to keep your loans in good standing with them.

Good luck with your education!

Undergraduate student loans w/no employment and no cosigner?

We Answered:

I get my Loans through campusdoor.com

I also got approved from WellsFargo bank. I didn't need a co-signer, but the amount was not enough for my tuition. However, my tuition costs more than other schools, so I had to have a co-signer from campusdoor. I don't have to work either with my loan.

Since you probably just need a basic loan, try the bank you use and apply with them. That's the best place to start first.

Also, if you have a particular school you want to attend, ask them which student loans are the best for your situation. They usually have a couple banks that they work with and get good rates.

Look up Scholarships too for each school and apply.

Make sure you fill out a FAFSA form so the government can help you with funds as well!

Repayment of undergraduate student loans if in grad school?

We Answered:

Six months after graduation from grad school. I am doing that exact thing right now. I graduated with my bachelors and in the next year went on to my masters, and they are put on hold until you graduate again.
I hope this helps!!
